Dr. Monica Hamilton Resilience & Perseverance Scholarship

The Dr. Monica Hamilton Resilience & Perseverance Scholarship is created to honor Dr. Monica Hamilton, an individual who exemplified the finest qualities of resilience, perseverance, humor, and grace. Dr. Monica pursued a path of academic and professional excellence. She graduated from Rogers High School in Rogers, Arkansas and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Andrews University. She then achieved her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Tufts University. In June 2025, Monica completed a two-year dental specialty in Orofacial Pain at the University of Kentucky, along with a mini-residency in Dental Sleep Medicine from the University of Michigan, all while courageously battling an aggressive form of lupus.

Though her life was far too short, it was filled with profound impact, purpose, and joy. Dr. Hamilton lived with boundless curiosity, compassion, and gratitude—touching the lives of all who knew her with her radiant spirit and genuine warmth.

This scholarship seeks to support dental students who have demonstrated a strong interest in mentorship, mission, and volunteerism.
